Three interesting facts about NZ people.
- Rugby is the most favourite sport watched by New Zealand people.
- ⅓ of the people in NZ live in Auckland.
- Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay were the first people who climbed mt Everest.
- New Zealand has 4.4 million people.
Today I did the first reading activity for the winter learning journey.

ReplyDeleteKia ora Alisha and welcome to the Winter Learning Journey programme! I am so happy to see that you are blogging with us this holiday. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your four (!) facts about New Zealand. It is hard to believe that New Zealand has 4.4 million people and that one-third of those live in Auckland. It certainly explains why the city is so busy and why we have such difficulty with our traffic system. It can take me over an hour to drive from one side of the city to another some days (or longer). Crazy!
Do you enjoy living in Auckland with your family? Is it quite different from the Middle East? I read in your bio that you moved to New Zealand when you were just 4 years old. Do you remember coming to NZ? I moved to New Zealand seven years ago and I remember it vividly but my son, Aronui, doesn't. He was just a baby when we moved from Canada.
I hope that you will continue to blog with us this holiday, Alisha. I would love to learn more about NZ and about your experiences in NZ through reading your blogs.
All the best,
Rachel :)
