LI:To learn new places in Maori
Thi week for Maori the Maori teahcer sended us a sheet called Nga Taone and what we have to do is in the middle colem we have to put the translated part in english and in the third collem we have to put is it in the south side or North side.

Today for maori we were drawing in friuts veges and meat,and also writting the Maori version and we also were called in small groups to have a Maori test we had to talk Maori and we had to give the papers in our hands and the Maori teacher had to ask for them in Maori and we had to say here in Maori and after we had to ask back what we had to say was homai te aporo which means pass me the apple.

LI:To learn about Maori
Today we watched an animation that was about what Maori people believe and it was about a man called maui and his brothers they were on a boat and they traveled with it and then they stopped to fish,Maui got his grandmothers hook and tied it on a string then threw it in the sea and something got it and they were stuck and a big storm came and Maui and they had caught the biggest fish in the world and then Maui took a step on it and it turned into land and Maui and his family frooze into stone then turned into mountins.

Today for Maori we had to make an DLO than has to have Paikea in the middle and around it it has to be the paikea song and the map of whangara and the picture of the maraes tahuhu with Paikea and the whale underneath him. and lastly the marae.

First we sat down on the mat then our teacher came and reed to us a story about paikea,Paikea was in a island and paikea's dad talked to Paikea and he said one day can be the leader of the Mari,So his brother got jelous and tried to drown Paikea and it happened and Paikea called for help and then a masive whale came and to Paikea away all the way to New zealand and in New zealand Paikea named himself Paikea and on New zealand Paikea got four wifes and got a big family.

Collabrating with LS2

LI:To collabarate with LS2.

Today we went upstairs to collabarate with LS2 and the LS2 people has to choose partners and then we had to watch a video and one person from our groups has three minutes to write down on a peace of paper how much stuff they remmember in the video and then make a google drawing that has facts about the seveen sisters and what matariki is about.

For Maori this week we made cool stuff with wool.We could make three different ones the cup and something and a tower and a para shot I didn't know how to make anything when I tried myself and knew how to make the para shot. I had a race with my friends and I won I won one of my friends very fast and my other friend just bate him I vised another fried of mine and lost.

Learning Intention:We made fishes today for Maori.

I learned about how to make a fish with paper and before we even made our fish we read
a book of the story nakhai and his friend so nakhai was playing in the lake and he got
bored he said to his friend “I’m bored let’s go in the open wide seas.”His friend laughed
and said “there is land surrounded from this lake and laughed even more but nakhai just
make a big hole and went and he  started to bleed but he still went and his friend
thought to himself I shouldn’t of went with him he said to him self “maybe it’s not to
late” he went to the whole nakhai make there were blud in the way so nakhai friend
just made a hole and got stuck

Today for Maori fireowre told us that we are gonna have a celebration one Wednesday with the whole school so we need to learn some songs to sing and then practiced a song.After that we did some word search when you were done you have to watch a video on YouTube.

Today we did Maori with fireowry. We were learning about the seven stars in the Maori new year.I learned how the seven stars were made the god of clouds was sad because of his parents they died and he was raining and then tears came out and his tears were lightning and he throw his tears in the sky and it turns into stars.

LI:The seven stars appear when when it is Maori new year June 15.

LI:For Maori we had to make these speeches my name,where you live,your mum and dad which school you go to and which sport you like

First fireowry did the roll if someone wasn’t here we had to say owa.If they were they the persons name who was called out he/she was to say I or kia ora then to begin with we had to repeat the words on the board and after we sang the song we had to translate the word in english I did take long but I didn’t get a chance to finish it but then there were words on the board that we had to make a google sheet and one the first column we had to write the words on it and translate the words on the board in english once you were finished you have to go to google maps why? because we had to find out where is Mauinaina and no one guesses it  was outside LS1 in the field I was close to this part but then it was lunch time.
